Opportunities to Serve

Boutique Room

Volunteers are needed in overseeing the donation and need of material items for clients. This would include the organization and distribution of items received.

Fundraising Team

Fundraising and individual/business support is an integral part of the ministry. Individuals are needed to increase the awareness and the support of the Center.

Prayer Team

Individuals are needed who are committed to pray for the ongoing needs of the Clients, as well as the Center. This team would receive prayer requests, schedule group prayer time and communicate praises.

Ultrasound Technician

Experienced Ultrasound Technician will volunteer 4-hours, one day per week to perform limited ultrasounds.

Life Development Classes

Individuals are needed to develop, plan and schedule these classes. Classes include, but are not limited to, nutrition, budgeting, resume writing, etc.

Office/Clerical Help

These individuals will need to be able to commit to a 4-hour shift with some level of weekly or monthly commitment.

Client Advocate

Training will be provided for those who are interested in meeting with the clients of Heart of Texas PRC. Client Advocates must commit to a 4-hour shift with some level of weekly or monthly commitment. Spanish speaking Client Advocates are needed.

Our Past Volunteers

Volunteering at Heart of Texas Pregnancy Resource Center is an experience I will take with me for the rest of my life. At first I never considered babies and motherhood to be my forte, but the more I hung out with the kids, heard some of the moms’ testimonies and saw deep needs being met, I have a new appreciation for life and children. HTPRC is a wonderful place where wonderful people come together to help others. God’s work is truly being done here.

It is bittersweet to say a temporary goodbye to HTPRC!! God led Anah and I here in early February 2015, as we were on a two-month exploring visit to Austin. I wanted us to serve while “exploring” as I intend to move (snowbird) here in the very near future. Through For the City Network, my eyes and heart directed me to Chicon, and the very first day we showed up to serve, the overwhelming light and love of Christ flowed through each woman that works/serves here. What a blessing to Austin is HTPRC, not only for the tender loving care they give each and every woman that passes through their doors, but that they exude the hands and feet and heart of Jesus. Many lives are changed for the good and they definitely changed my life, too! I have a heart for service, a heart for women, and a love of Jesus, so it has been so rewarding to help in such a small way, for such a big cause. Thank you, Jesus, for all you do for me and for allowing us to serve with such amazing women of God. May God continue to bless and lift up all who work and serve here.
